He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sr. Mitchell and Mattie Laura Mitchell; and his siblings, Rosezell Ponder and Willie Mitchell. He is survived by: his siblings, Bruce Mitchell, Mary Wells and Lynda Mitchell; his wife Patilla Mitchell; and his son Steven Mitchell. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church (888 Zion Cir, Roswell, GA 30075). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Green Lawn Cemetery (950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076).
