He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Ray, Sr. and Lillian Hensley Ray; and his wife Susie (Wanda Sue Ray). He is survived by: his children, Debra L. Horton (David), David A. Ray (Rhonda), Katie Ray-Diaz (Mark) and Jennifer Walter (Nick).
