He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Gilkenson and Ruth Middleton Gilkenson; and his wife Lillian Provan. He is survived by: his siblings, Fern Stebbings of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Steve Gilkenson (Francine) of West Palm Beach, Florida; and his sons, P. Stephen (Mary Louise Gilkenson), John (Nancy Gilkenson) and Bob (Ree Gilkenson). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and their spouses, 13 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roswell Funeral Home (950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
