He was predeceased by: his son Tim Holmen; and his parents, Richard Holmen and Elvera Petersen Holmen. He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Holmen; his son Jeffrey Holmen (Kristen); his sisters, Lois Helland (Lars), Sandra Robertson and Karen Kuchta (Gary); his grandchildren, Kinsey and Erik; and his cousin Sherman Hallvorsen.
