He is survived by: his daughter Sara Jackson (Matthew); his sister Syphronia Rutledge; his son Joseph Akers; his daughter-in-law Paula Jones; his grandchildren, Oceana Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Jr., Jameson Jones, Jasmine Jones, Jada Jones and Jamicia Jones; and his great grandchildren, Tamiya Jackson, Joleigh Jones and Colibri Mills.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors (333 E Johnson St, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Rucker's Grove Baptist Church (137 Baker St, Royston, GA 30662).
