He is survived by : his children, Jamere Merritt of Athens, Keosha Gibbs of Royston, Keairia Rucker of Elberton, Jalen Brown Ga, Makel Merritt of Lavonia and Chayston Smith of Hartwell; his fiancé Shantrell Jones; and his sisters, Lasonia Smith of Royston, Patricia Rucker of Athens and Barbara Rucker of Elberton.
