It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Holt of Rutledge, Georgia, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint George leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Holt and Ollie Phillips Holt. He is survived by: his daughter Tish Murphy (Danne); his wife Rena West; his son Wes (Robert); his sister Nancy Holt Kassay; and his grandchildren, Trent Scott (Natalia), Morgan Castillo (Luis) and Tyler Scott (Jessica). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
