He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Muncy Varner and Edna Susan Ford Varner; his wife Margie Lee Varner (Cox); his son Class Nathan Lee Varner; and his siblings, Alton Varner (Elvie), James Varner (Eva), Wendell Varner, Catherine Phillips (Edward) and Annette Varner.
He is survived by: his son Louie; his daughters-in-law, Miki Varner and Beth Varner; his grandchildren, Ansley Varner, Landon Varner, Bailey Hembree, Jonathan Varner (Ashley), James Varner (Braci), Judith Varner and Jeffrey Varner; his great grandchildren, Joshua Varner, Harper Varner, Lyra Wright, Luna Wright, Nova Wright and Leo Wright; and his caregivers, Dee Crowe, Theresa Smith and Loretta Bryant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
