Alan Ponders Obituary

In loving memory of Alan Ponders of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, born in Chatsworth, Georgia, who departed this world on December 22, 2025 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Ponders, Sr. and Betty Ponders; his brother Willie "Bill" Ponders, Jr.; his brother-in-law Bob Finnemore; his parents-in-law, Bobby and Pat Richards; and his sister-in-law Julia Richards Cochran.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Richards Ponders of St. Simons Island, GA; his daughters, Rebecca (Divine Ofori-Amankwah) and Hannah (Jack Feist); his grandsons, Thade Gradke and Rocky Feist; his siblings, Brenda Finnemore and Mike; and his siblings-in-law, Sheri Ponders, Jan, Duane Smith, Anne Richards and Ricky Cochran. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
