She was predeceased by: her parents, James Curtis and Mary Garrett Grimes. She is survived by: her husband Rev. James Ellis Boyd; her son James Richard; her daughter-in-law Tammy Holland Boyd of Dacula; her grandchildren, Terah Boyd, Jason Bright of Atlanta and Whitney Boyd of Lilburn; her great grandchild Lennox Sherwood Bright of Atlanta; her sister Rita; her brother-in-law Brad Merck of Vidalia; her brother James Curtis Jr.; and her sister-in-law Betty Maddox Grimes. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home (310 North St W, Vidalia, GA 30475). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hardens Chapel Cemetery (161 NE Broad St, Lyons, GA 30436).
