In the vast expanse of eternity, Bernice shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bernice farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershel York and Sarah Della Erbie York; and her children, Tonya Bowen and Bobby Dean Bowen. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Bowen; and her brothers, Johnny York (Margaret) of Wadley and Leonard York (Arlene) of Arizona.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel (1119 Riddleville Rd, Sandersville, GA 31082).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Bowen's memory to Kendall Heights Church of God, 829 Jordan Mill Road, Sandersville, GA 31082.
