He is survived by: his wife Laura Henson McAbee of Sandersville; his sons, Michael Clayton McAbee (Kyle) of Atlanta and Patrick Henson McAbee (Jessica) of Warner Robins; his granddaughter Sydnee McAbee; and his brother Howard Peck McAbee (Mary) of Atlanta.
