He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Frances Byrd Jones and Arthur B. Jones II; and his wife Carolyn Monroe Jones. He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Jones Coleman and Jill Jones Damron; his grandchildren, Bryan Arthur Jones, Sarah Grace Bottomly, Virginia Lynn Wells and Grant David Coleman; his great grandchildren, Lila Beatrice Bottomley and Cecilia Monroe Coleman; and his sister Patricia Burch.
He auctioned countless works for charity and was a member of the Georgia Watercolor Society and Dunwoody Fine Arts.
