He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Miller Smith. He is survived by: his father Benjamin Gainer Smith II (B. G.); his brother Cary Smith; his daughter Stephanie Smith Barfoot (Bryan Barfoot); his grandchild Quinn Barfoot; his son Joseph Gainer Smith (Brittany Smith); his granddaughters, Evelyn and Nora Smith; his son Allen Smith (Raleigh Smith); and his grandchild Eden Smith. He is also survived by father and grandfather to his three children and four granddaughters.
