He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Annie Mae Jackson Kilpatrick; his brother William Kilpatrick; his wife Lucille Herndon Kilpatrick; his sisters, Vivian Maddox, Frances DeLaigle, Annie Brinson and Maizie Quick; his daughters, Glenda Wilson and Edna Cook; his grandchildren, Byron King, Charlotte Hillis and Tonya Perkins; and his great grandchild Casey Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, John Parker (Nancy) of Waynesboro, Cathy Capley of Waynesboro and Jackie Eskew (Charles) of Waynesboro; and his grandchildren, Rodney Parker (Debbie), Beth Braddy (Steve), Michael Eskew, Becky Culley (Tim), Drew Capley and James Russell Wilson (Christina). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
