Alan Kent Mitchell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alan Kent Mitchell (Savannah, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Ray Mitchell and Catharine Parsons Mitchell. He is survived by: his siblings, Rae, Gail and Jeff; his wife Pat; his son Chad Mitchell (Amy); his grandchildren, Wyatt and Isla; his son Troy Mitchell of Asheville; and his stepdaughter Kelly Plyler (Trent) of Sherrills Ford. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel (7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or Spanish Oaks Hospice in Kent's memory.
