He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Atlantic Wood Industries; his siblings, Chip Compton (Alva), John Compton (Paula) and Kathy Compton of Highlands, NC.; his nephews, Charlie Compton Gulfstream (Laura), Tucker Compton (Leslie), Kelley Compton (Katherine), Tayloe Compton (Kerrie Ann), Robert Compton (Katherine) and Will Allred Atlanta (Laura); and his niece Katherine Allred. He was also cherished by two grandnephews, and five grandnieces.
