He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Q. Benson and Ruth Strickland Benson. He is survived by: his wife Terry Grant Benson; his brother Richard Benson; his children, Alec Stephen Benson, Sheila Benson Ryan (Chip) and Phillip Grant Benson; and his grandchildren, Kayla Anne Benson, Alec Elebash Benson and Harley Eulin Ryan III.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Skidaway Island Methodist Church (54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, GA 31411).
