She was predeceased by: her parents, Mannie B. Smith and Queen Elizabeth Smith Sr.; her husband William E Brown Sr.; and her siblings, Annie Smith Griffin, Martha L Grover, Cecilia Barton and Eddie Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Smith of Savannah, GA, Antwen Denise Green (Willie) of Irvington, NJ, Sharie A Brown of Newark, NJ, William E Brown Jr. (Jennifer) of Savannah, GA and Alquan M. Mays-Brown of Savannah, GA; her siblings, Beullah Mitchell of Savannah, GA, Mannie B Smith Jr. (Rosalyn) of Ellabell, GA, Roy Lee Smith (Barbara) of Ellabell, GA and Carl Smith (Tina) of Savannah, GA; her aunt Eartail Scott of Atlanta, GA; and her grandchildren, Latasha, Betty C., Shanika, Todd Jr., Diamond, Shalyiah, Tyteanna, Christopher, Daquaan, Trinasia, Lavaeh, Mazier and Harper.
