He was predeceased by: his parents, Lubie Smith and Ada Smith; and his siblings, Javid, Kelly and Janice Mullis of Valdosta.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda; his sons, Billy Ray (Daphne), Bubba (Kellie) and Travis; his grandchildren, Corey, Breann (Cale), Wesley (Ali), Jordan (Montanna), Luke and Molly; and his siblings, Margaret and Weldon Ray. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
B.L. Smith went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
