He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Joseph Porsga and Doris Loretta Cope Porsga. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Porsga; his sons, John Joseph Porsga (Becky) and Charles Richard Porsga; and his sister Nancy Warden (Donnie). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
