He was predeceased by : his parents, Julius Joseph Porsga and Doris Loretta Cope Porsga. He is survived by : his wife Vickie Porsga; his sons, John Joseph Porsga (Becky) and Charles Richard Porsga; and his sister Nancy Warden (Donnie). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 5:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 5:00 PM at 113 Coleraine Dr, Savannah, GA 31407.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
