He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Julia; and his brother Fred. He is survived by: his children, David John Macchi and Madeline Leigh Macchi Haley; his wife Janis Macchi; his stepchildren, Brad, Jennifer, Michael and Austin; and his siblings, Helen and Bobby.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist (222 E Harris St, Savannah, GA 31401). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Bonaventure Cemetery (330 Bonaventure Rd, Savannah, GA 31404).
