With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edgar Rogers Brantley Sr. of Savannah, Georgia, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on April 10, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Daniel Brantley, Sr. and Mary Rogers Brantley Mattson; his wife Sylvia Hamlett Brantley; his stepson-in-law Mac King; and his siblings, Mary Linn Kimbrell and George Brantley, Jr..

He is survived by: his nephew Winston Bowen Jr.; his children, Anne Brantley (Kim) of Redding, CA and Edgar Rogers "Ed" Brantley, Jr. of Oneonta, NY; his stepchildren, Cyndee King of Loganville and Tim Chambers (Lynn) of Ringgold; his siblings, Betty Brantley of Blackshear, Jane Bowen (Sonny) of Blackshear and Duncan Brantley (Nancy) of McDonough; and his sister-in-law Helen Brantley of Jacksonville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to the Blackshear Presbyterian Church, 432 Main St., Blackshear, GA 31516.
