He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carey and Nan Carey; and his sisters, Maureen Schiller and Helene McGinnity. He is survived by: his wife Lynne; his daughter Kathleen; his son-in-law Peter Rossi (NY) of Phoenix; his son John; his daughter-in-law Nicole Carey (MA) of Blackstone; his daughter Maureen Carey; his son-in-law Perry Slaughter; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Athena Carey (MA) of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Chris, Jacklyn, Jenna, Shane, Madeleine, Lauren, Matthew and Nathan; and his great grandchildren, Jay, Lauren and Jack.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James the Less Catholic Church (8412 Whitefield Ave, Savannah, GA 31406).
