It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Edward Clayton Jr. (Savannah, Georgia), who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Clayton and Lessie Clayton; his grandson Ryan Rich; and his son-in-law Billy Rich. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Harris Clayton; his children, Greg (Tracey), George III and Sheri Rich; his sister Brenda Griffin; his grandchildren, Trey, Garrett, Shane, Jessica, Jeni and Savanna; and his great grandchildren, Solomon, Silas, Samuel, Liam and Lyla. He is also survived by family members including nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fox & Weeks Islands Chapel. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (315 Greenwich Rd, Savannah, GA 31404).
