With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Herman of Savannah, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Herman to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, George shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid George farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Herman and Rosa Lee Brisbon Herman. He is survived by: his sisters, Elizabeth Patterson (Allen) of Atlanta and Renee Herman-Simmons of Atlanta; and his children, Minister Robert Brown (Estelle) of Savannah, Dr. Rosalyn Matthews (Shakur) of Atlanta and Stephanie Alston (Wilson Sr.) of Savannah. He is also survived by grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sylvania Funeral Home of Savannah (102 Owens Industrial, Savannah, GA 31405). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
