With sadness, we share the passing of Hester McDonald of Savannah, Georgia. Hester, born on January 15, 1939, passed away on July 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Russel Reed and H. Eleanor Talbott Reed; her husband James Alexander McDonald; her brother Robert Randolph Reed, Sr. (Beverley) of French Creek, WV; and her nephew Robert Randolph Reed, Jr. (Lisa).
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Lynn McDonald Ashley (William Ashley); her grandson Brooks Alexander McDonald Quann of Savannah, GA.; and her nephews, Rodger Russell Reed (Jeannie) of West Virginia, Richard Ross Reed (Pamela) of Louisiana and Ronald Scott Reed (Carolyn) of Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 9114 Whitefield Avenue, Savannah, Georgia, 31406.
