He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Elliott Wells; and his parents, Frank Wells and Elizabeth Sines Wells. He is survived by: his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Wells; his sister-in-law Iris Callaway; his sibling's children, John Elliott Callaway (Cheri Mays) and Jennifer Callaway Garlow; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Avery, Hannah, Zach and Austin.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Collegiate Church of St Paul the Apostle (1802 Abercorn St, Savannah, GA 31401). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
