He is survived by: his children, Russ Filyaw (Lawanda) of Moody, Barbara Shiels of Pembroke, Annette O'Quinn of Ellabelle, Wayne M. Filyaw (Gracie) of Port Charlotte, Denise Joy of Savannah and Faith Fishel of Atlanta, Georgia; and his stepchildren, Joel Higgins (Toni) of Black Diamond and Cynthia Heller (Warren) of Savannah, Georgia. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
