He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Harter Simpson and James Duncan Macdonald; and his stepfather Stuart Charles Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Harrell Macdonald; his sons, Ryan Macdonald and Bradley Macdonald; his grandchildren, Isabelle, John Ryan, Lori Kate, Sarah Carr, Caroline and Colin Macdonald; his brother James Duncan Macdonald; and his stepsister Mary Stuart Orbe.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society of Greater Savannah.
