Johnetta D. Cooley Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnetta D. Cooley of Savannah, Georgia, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Johnetta is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Johnetta's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Cooley and Mabel Bing Cooley; and her brothers, Ira Leon Cooley and Eric Cooley. She is survived by: her son Marlin Cooley; her siblings, Frederick Cooley (Carol) and Monica Cooley; and her close friends, Linda Emerson and Adale Barnes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Happy Home Baptist Church (1015 E Gwinnett St, Savannah, GA 31401).
