Katharine leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Katharine’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Katharine will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawton Calhoun and Mary Anne Calhoun; and her brother Lawton. She is survived by: her husband Frank Wood; her children, Katie and Andrew (Hollyn); and her sisters, Mary Anne Farmer (Tom) and Lilla Costello. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (28 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401).
