He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward King and Elizabeth King; and his sister Carol Clark. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Edward King, Jr. (Tonya) and Kathy Anne King-Schultz (William Lance Schultz); his grandchildren, Kayla Anne King Winters (Reilly) and Bradley Vaughn Schultz; his great grandchildren, Charles Marshall Winters and Kathryn Anne Winters; and his sisters, Janet Leonard and Laura Watson (Michael). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
