He is survived by: his wife Ella Goldwire James (Trish); his grandchildren, Trey and Korede S'Nadd Garvin; his children, Dawn Garvin of Atlanta, GA, Sierra Garvin, Tracy James, Kendra Reed (Mark) and Leroy Garvin Jr.; his grandchildren, Brieanna M. Garvin, Destiny Reed, Leroy "Trey" Garvin III, Madison Reed, Jayson Smith and Osheron L. Garvin; his niece Erica Bryant of Brunswick, GA.; his sisters-in-law, Kate Hargrove (Eddie) of Savannah, GA, Floria 'Ann' Sims (Ephrim) of Savannah, GA, Melvenna Hamilton (Vincent) of Savannah, GA and Shirley G.; and his cousins, Beverly Robinson and John Robinson.
