In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy MaeDe leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though MaeDe may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Arthur Brown and MaeDe Myers Brown; and her husband Charles Leroy Gordon. She is survived by: her sons, J. Craig Gordon and Gary Gordon (Shavonna); and her siblings, Minerva T. King, Millicent E. Brown, Wayne Gourdine (Eva) and Myles Gregory Brown. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the MaeDe Esperanza Myers Brown Scholarship Fund.
