Mary Sue will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Mary Sue will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Mary Sue’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She is survived by: her husband Phil Shaffer; her sons, Rich (Lisa), Jay (Susanne) and Eric (Brandee); and her stepchildren, Phil (Monica), Jenny, Jonathan (Brittany) and Becky. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1200 King George Blvd, Savannah, GA 31419). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
