He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Georgia H. Hymes and Milton L. Hymes, Sr.; and his siblings, Jean Hymes Pittman, Comer Hymes Gay, Natalie Hymes DeLettre, Ira Pittman, Jr., Donald Pittman (Jean), Barbara Margulis (Comer), Debbie Ray, Dewey DeLettre, Jr. and Danny DeLettre. He was also cherished by the children of his sisters.
A graveside service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bonaventure Cemetery (330 Bonaventure Rd, Thunderbolt, GA 31404). The military honors was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the same location.
