She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice E., Sr. and Zena Lee DeLoach Smith; her husband I. W. "Bill" Hearn; her brothers, B. E. Smith (Margaret) and Lyman Smith (Betty); and her son-in-law Donald Cowart.
She is survived by: her children, Philip W. Hearn (Carmel) and Juliann Cowart; her grandchildren, Robbie Cowart (Michell) and Alex Swanger (Stephen); and her great grandchildren, Alanah Cowart, Leila Cowart and David Swanger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home (513 W Main St, Claxton, GA 30417). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel (513 W Main St, Claxton, GA 30417).
