It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard F. Leighton (Savannah, Georgia), who passed away on February 5, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Frances Scaggs of Virginia; his parents, Herbert Cale Leighton and Leona Ronelva Leighton (Houck); his brother Dr. Herbert Houck Leighton; his children, Kimberly, Brian Leighton of Philadelphia and Fred Leighton of Fort Atkinson, Wis.; his grandchildren, Fran Leighton of Houston, Abigail Leighton and Henry Leighton; and also, Foundation and Layla Berlin Rothwell.
