He was predeceased by: his daughter Carrie Robertson; and his siblings, Don Lockard and Jenette Petry. He is survived by: his wife Debra "Debbie" Lockard; his children, Brandon "B. J." Lockard (Nicole), Robert Lockard, Paul Stavely (Roseanne), Patricia Robertson (Bill) and Deanna "Sue" Lockard; and his brother Ron Lockard. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center (1328 Dean Forest Rd, Savannah, GA 31405). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
