It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Pounder (Savannah, Georgia), who passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Pounder to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis J. Pounder and Helen Dennard Pounder; his wife Elizabeth Brown Pounder; his brother Lt. Colonel Dennis J. Pounder, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Martha White Pounder and Melissa Pounder.
He is survived by: his children, Dana Pounder Adams (Jay) of Greensboro, NC, Andrea Pounder Audesey of Highlands, NC and Robert Wyatt Pounder, Jr. (Shawna) of Savannah; his grandchildren, Matthew Adams, Rebekah Adams Lemons, Benjamin Jenkins, Walter Audesey, Mariah Audesey Rhoads, Aidan Pounder and Avery Pounder; and his brother William Thomas Pounder of Macon. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1003 E Victory Dr, Savannah, GA 31405). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Catholic Cemetery (1420 Wheaton St, Savannah, GA 31404).
