He is survived by: his brothers, Melton of Jackson, Mississippi., Charles of Jackson, Mississippi., Cecil of Jackson, Mississippi. and Jerry of Jackson, Mississippi.; his wife Pamela Culler Welch; his children, Angela Childress (John), Jeff Welch (Kate) and Charles "Chip" Welch (Meg); his stepchildren, William "Kip" Gardner (Lisa) of Savannah and Amy Matthews (Chris) of Rincon; and his siblings, Barbara Mardis of Jackson, Linda Rozina of Jackson, Judy Quarles of Jackson, Anita Hemphill of Jackson, Woodrow and Annie Ruth Welch. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
