She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clyde Collins and Juanita Everett Collins; her husband Christopher Frederick Raichlen "Rai" Denhard; her son Derek Denhard; her brother Michael E. Collins; her daughter Suzanne M.; her children-in-law, Johnny Edenfield of Savannah and Debora Denhard of Kennesaw; her son David; her daughter-in-law Linda Denhard of Savannah; and her grandchildren, Collin (Casey), Sarah, Melissa and David, Jr.. She was also cherished by four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spanish Oaks Hospice, 8510 Whitfield Ave., Savannah, GA 31406 or the Dr. Suzanne Edenfield Scholarship Fund at Savannah Technical College, C/O Gail Eubanks, 5717 White Bluff Rd., Savannah, GA 31405.

“Shirley was a loyal member of First Baptist Church for all the years I was Minister of Worship and Fine Arts. Though she was not a musician, she (and her mother) were always very supportive of our music ministry. She was always cheerful and affirming, and I have missed her since I retired and she has been in poor health. Sincerely, James Richardson”
