He is survived by: his children, Steve, Elisabeth "Lisa" Braswell Bell (Holmes Bell), Wylly Braswell Staab (Peter Staab), Catherine Braswell Lovett (Bates Lovett), Grayson Braswell and Render Braswell; his grandchildren, Gus Bell V, Couper Staab, William Lovett, Caroline Staab, Woods Lovett and Wylly Bell; his siblings, Thomas Spalding Braswell and Elizabeth Ann Braswell; and his nieces, Catherine Smith Willmott and Elizabeth Smith Bommer.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Church (325 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401). A reception will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Green-Meldrim House (14 W Macon St, Savannah, GA 31401).
