She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie T. Milgrom (Sherwin) and Benjamin Milgrom; her husband Dr. Frank Hoffman; and her son Fred Hoffman. She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Hoffman (Paul Shapiro); her granddaughters, Emily Shapiro (Jon Estreich) and Sarah Shapiro (Alex Hardt); and her sibling's children, Ellen Hackman, Holly Flesh, Diane Cummings and Mark Hackman.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bonaventure Cemetery (330 Bonaventure Rd, Thunderbolt, GA 31404).
Thelma served the Savannah community as a volunteer with many organizations, including the Savannah Science Museum, Hadassah, Cub Scouts, and American Cancer Society.
