He was predeceased by: his father Jacob Randolph Gooding; and his sister Kathryn Phyllis Myrick. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Matthew Merchant of Richmond Hill; his grandchildren, Victoria Merchant of Richmond Hill, Jackson Merchant of Richmond Hill and William Merchant of Richmond Hill; his sister Wanda Lane Orman; and his brother-in-law Charles Richard Orman of Kiawah Island, SC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
