He was predeceased by: his parents, Marian Kline and Harry Byrd Kline; and his grandson Austin Yeomans. He is survived by: his wife Etta Rue Kline; his pet Remy; his children, Dana Lindval (John), Jerri Garrity (Tom), Mica Yeomans (Gary) and Gifford Kline (Heather); and his grandson Matthew Garrity. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
