He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest William and Mary Lou Bennett; and his siblings, Donald Bennett, Howard Bennett, Joyce Cox and Gary Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Renee; his children, Christopher M. Bennett (Abigail) of Barnesville, Jennifer Thomas (Phillip) and Senoia; his grandchildren, MaryAnn Whitelock (Kenneth), Carolina Arnold (Trey), Taylor Thomas and Andrew Thomas; his great grandchildren, Asher Prescott, Makenna Whitelock and Eloise Whitelock; and his aunts, Ruth Wilkerson and Pat Woodruff. He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, cousins.
