He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jay Jr. and Martha Louise Jay; and his wife Linda Seale Jay. He is survived by: his daughter Ronda Griffin (Scott); his brother James "Jimmy" Jay III (Joyce); his grandchildren, Brook Benton (James), Steven Banks, Molly Sutton (Aron) and Mark Cline (Chelsea); and his great grandchildren, Westlyn Sutton, Wilder Sutton, Wilkes Sutton and Noah Cline. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
