It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jane Rhodes of Siloam, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 97, on October 19, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Wilkins Chandler and Mary Frank McClure Chandler; and her husband Clarence Lee "Mutt" Rhodes, Jr.. She is survived by: her family Greensboro; her children, Suzan Rhodes Harris, Clarence Lee Rhodes III and Boyd Chandler Rhodes; her daughter-in-law Cathy Rea Rhodes (Annie Hill); her grandchildren, Rosemary Kendrick Ward, Benjamin Chandler Harris, Sloan Rhodes Dobrin and Clarence Lee "Chance" Rhodes IV; her grandchildren-in-law, Hannah Harris, Ryan Dobrin and Kara Rhodes; and her great grandchildren, Addie Ward, Rhodes Ward, Pressley Harris, Bryant Dobrin, Theo Dobrin, Will Dobrin, Nora Rhodes and Charlotte Rhodes.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Siloam Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro (202 W Broad St, Greensboro, GA 30642).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greene County Historical Society, 201 East Greene Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 or the First Methodist Church, 202 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642.

“Miss Jane and Mr Mutt took me and my family under her wings when I was a young pastor and graduate student. They blessed us so many ways, making sure we always had a place for lunch after church, a way to make ends meet, and a caring support for any controversy. I can still here her distinct voice and accent, as well as her ready laugh. She was a lady through and through, beautiful, caring, strong, and determined. My prayers for her family in a time of grief. She is with her Lord Jesus now.”
